The legendary action FPS is enhanced, combined, and now available on modern platforms!

Developed by id Software, and originally released in 1993, DOOM pioneered and popularized the first-person shooter, setting a standard for all FPS games.β€―The critically acclaimed sequel, DOOM II, followed in 1994.

Many more modes added, including better Co-Op Multiplayer, new visuals with 4K 120FPS and new Soundtrack (IDKFA) by Andrew Hulshult!

Maybe for the 100th episode a re-look at Doom is in order πŸ™‚

ALL the juicy info on the release over on the Bethesda site

I’ve started playing this and I really like the new soundtrack (coming from someone who really likes the original soundtrack)

It had some quirks, as the Unity version before it. Funny how it’s now on Kex, which began as a fan re-implementation of Turok.

Here is a video that compares the joystick deadzones of each Doom (1993) release. Not that many folks used joysticks for it back in the day, though I do recall trying a Gravis Gamepad then later a more SNES-like gamepad that had shoulders for circle strafing.

A 20-minute video comparing joystick deadzones for Doom. Now I’ve seen everything. πŸ˜›
