So as I was playing the game, I came to notice that the whole game is not a series of individual rooms but the whole thing is actually represented in 3D.
How do I know? For one thing, it’s how you can still see dropped items and roaming monsters through open doors, but that could’ve been just an illusion.
But thanks to triggering an unusual glitch, I got proof: Upon entering the library the moment the painting shot an arrow at me… well, see for yourself [link]!
So hats off to Raynal’s engine for handling that!
Other than that, as being scared of this game when I played it as a kid, and as an avid Lovecraft fan since this very game sparked my interest in him, I’d love to chat on the podcast about it all 😉
