Hello everyone,
I totally missed this Forum-Category of Introduction and just spammed my Stuff in DOOM & Game Suggestions. 😀
Just stumbled over the Podcast like 2 months ago, just by searching “DOS” I guess and was immediately hooked.
To this moment I got just like 5% of the episodes heard, but I’m getting there… 😉A few words about myself, I’m from Germany “das Ruhrgebiet” (Those who know, know…) not that far from the border to the Netherlands, just 2 years away from getting 40 and love everything about computers.
I started building my retro-Hardware Collection some years ago, my last eBay-Acquisition in this regard was ab 486 DX2 66mhz.
As long as I can think (maybe when I was 3-4years old) got introduced to the Atari ST from my Granpa and soon after with the 286 IBM Compatible at home with a monochrome amber monitor.
Later we got a 486 with 50mhz as homecomputer, where I really got into writing my own batch-files for the optimal DOS-Gaming experience.
Long time jump to today: I’m now a “Senior Professional Services/Systems Engineer”, still loving the old DOS Wildwest. 🙂Greetings to you all, I hope we will have a lot of fun here!
