This is Juan, a Spaniard based in the UK.
I’m a software engineer and I have been enjoying different 8-bit microcomputers over the last 10 years or so, not only plying the games but also making them.
I started my career on the ZX Spectrum (and the Amstrad CPC to some extent), but most of my formative years were in DOS. Not only regarding gaming, but also as a programmer.
I have been revisiting some DOS games with my sons, and discovering new stuff I didn’t have a chance to try back in the day.
Recently, partially because of the Dos Game Club podcast and other folks discussing DOS and gamedev on Mastodon, I may have accidentally made a DOS game (to be released soon!).
I have been enjoying the podcast and somehow I ended joining the IRC channel, so I guess the next logical step was joining the forum.
