Holiday Hare 94′ / 95′
-
Fun fact: Holiday Hare ’95 saw the first appearance of Spaz, Jazz’s problematically-named younger brother, who would later have a playable role in Jazz 2.

I try to play these every year around the holiday season along with the one for Jazz 2
I never realized that it was Spaz in HH’95.
The first world of HH’95 (Candion) uses a totally awesome remix of Carol of the Bells as the music.
I’m not sure if I ever had Holiday Hare before picking up the GOG copies during a sale although I think my original game did show a snowy menu at times, and I think I played a couple of snowy stages.
It says that it was apparently built into the game, available in November through January. Maybe in some versions only?

When I tried the Holiday Hare stages from the GOG version, I think Holiday Hare 94′ seemed familiar, but not 95′, so I’m guessing my CD has the former.
I made special ANSI screens for my BBS hyping both these releases, which were available for download on my system. BBS SysOps usually made an effort to “decorate” for Christmas, at least in my local-calling area. Stuff like the Jazz and Lemmings Christmas releases were great subject matter for some ANSI art to liven things up.
There is a snowy level (Nippius) in episode 4 which is visually very similar to the Holiday Hare levels – perhaps that’s what you’re thinking of?
