Im really looking forward to playing this again. Played when it first came out in the mid 90s. I was so into Doom and everything id software put out (or produced in this case), so Heretic was an obvious pick for me.

Me too. I’m a late adopter for this one. I was aware of it back in the day but never got around to playing it. I played it through late last year and I had a blast. Looking forward to playing it on my recently acquired CRT monitor!!

As a long time listener, I might have to finally jump in this month. I actually beat Heretic not long ago, back in early 2022, but I could definitely give it another spin. At least the shareware episode, if not the first three. After that I might be a bit tapped out.

Oh wow, nice. I think Heretic is one of those games I’ve started and never finished. Have a save somewhere in the middle of E2 or E3. Maybe I should try to get back into it. 🙂

I am a fan of Doom, after all, and Heretic is basically Doom in a D&D setting.

I don’t remember this title or Hexen from back in the day, but I did once try an FPS at a friend’s house. I think he said it was similar to Doom. I remember a monster that looked liked a floating skull or something that he said was tough to deal with or something. I wonder if that may have been this game…
