Did I miss something or did Rayman somehow not get nominated here yet?

The franchise is one of the most famous and loved in history, even though no new games have been coming out in about decade. The first Rayman is considered a classic, and at the same time as a notoriously hard, grueling challenge.

Although it was more popular on consoles, especially Playstation, the PC DOS version does have its own charm. The PC also had a few exclusive spin-offs / level packs that never made it to any consoles. Some of them were included in a compilation known as ‘Rayman Forever’, which is now available on GOG.

I’d like to resurrect this suggestion. In the Earthworm Jim episode a mention was made about the lack of really good platformers on DOS (something I personally disagree with, but my tastes are weird!). I get the feeling the Halloween Harry episode is not going to change opinions on this.
However, platformers don’t get much better, or at least more celebrated, than Rayman.

I never played it until very recently, and I have to say it’s very impressive. Graphics look great, music sounds wonderful, controls are smooth and satisfying. Definitely worth looking at for the club.
