Tex Murphy is one of my favourite Adventure Games series (with Pandora Directive generally thought to be the best one).

They are quite long, and the first 2 (Mean Streets and Martian Memorandum) are more or less unplayable by today’s standards.

As a series though it stood out as one of the game series to do FMV “right”, arguably the only one. (Gabriel Knight 2 might be the only other one, but even that is questionable).

They had a reasonably well run Kickstarter which resulted in a decent game (that was unfortunately a bit rushed in parts) and there was supposed to have been another follow up, The Poisoned Pawn, but there has recently been some drama.

Regardless, the three FMV from the golden age still holds up: Under a Killing Moon, The Pandora Directive & Overseer

YES! I caught up with them a couple of years back and loved all three and have strong opinions on the Kickstarter-funded one.

I loved these games and this they should be added to the list! Back in the day of Quicktime videos.
