Game for September: Monkey Island

Wednesday 19 September 2018 marks the next International Talk Like A Pirate Day, so we thought it would be fun to have a Pirate-themed game for September.

Now there are several good choices for a pirate-themed DOS game available. One obvious one would have been Sid Meier's Pirates!, which was suggested by Tijn.

However, we try to cover all sorts of different genres and we've had a distinct lack of point & click adventure games so far. The only game we've played which could be categorised as such would be Quest for Glory, which we played in August 2017. But that game originally came out with a text interpreter, and is also a hybrid RPG game. So we're long overdue for a real point & click adventure.
